I think AO is a very interesting game because small casual organisations can thrive, given enough effort is put into it. I’m not as sure that is applicable on all mmos out there. and still considering that, AO is pretty hardcore at it’s heart. So it’s a fascinating phenomenon.

Your article was an interesting read, many people fail to understand.. or potentially underestimate what is being done to hold the pieces together. I think you made some really valid points.

Some smaller organisations do continue to prosper, to hold true to themselves that what matters most to them. To ensure that the ideals and dreams that were there in the founding are carried forward. But you are right, it takes a lot of time to be invested and for more than one person to be willing to invest that time, drive and energy.
